Betty Pagett
The Rev. Betty Strathman Pagett was Director of Education and Advocacy for the Ecumenical Association for Housing from 1991 to 2007. She has served as chairman or a member of the boards of many housing organizations, including the Nonprofit Housing Association of Northern California and the Campaign for Affordable Housing. She worked with the County of Marin, the Marin Community Foundation, and local colleges to found the “healthy seniors” program in affordable senior housing to bridge the gap between independent living and assisted living. She chairs the Marin advisory group for Habitat for Humanity, and is a board member of the Helen Vine De-Tox Center. She was a parish minister from 1973 to 1991 in White Plains and Bedford, New York, and Oakland, Concord, and San Rafael, California. Rev. Pagett was Auburn Fellow and lecturer, Union Theological Seminary, American Baptist Seminary of the West, San Francisco Theological Seminary. She received her MRE from Union Theological Seminary in 1965 and her M.Div. 1975. She was ordained by the United Methodist Church.
