Becoming a Human Capitalist
Nancy Andrews has led the Low Income Investment Fund as it has taken a more and more holistic view of community development, moving from a focus on housing to financing schools, day care, and other community facilities. She has put together a scholarly analysis of what it means to be a “human capitalist” by making social and educational services a key part of development in low-income areas and how such action can transform the lives of children living in poverty.  Download the PDF.
